About Me

My photo
I'm a happily married crafter. Our grown daughter is the light of my world. And the fact that our son-in-law gets that makes him pretty special in my book! My daughter shares in my creativity! I've been scrapbooking for over 15 yrs but now mostly make cards to sell. I love mixed media, mini's, and altered art! My favorite thing is to scrap with friends in My Happy Place!

On A Sad Note...

My beloved dog, Poogie died last Friday, May 24th.  :(  He was 12- 1/2 yrs. old.  He was very sick and my heart is broken. Pooga boy was the best dog ever. So incredibly smart and we miss him so much! I held him first and I was the one that held him last. I miss him when I go to bed at night. He'd follow me in and lay down in his bed and... he'd suck on his blanket! Funniest thing ever! He was so sweet! Poogie is a Boston Terrier/Jack Russell mix. He was the runt of the bunch. 2lbs when we got him! Our daughter didn't like to eat the ends off a banana so she'd cut them off and Poogie was right there to catch em and eat them up :) He loved them. You couldn't sneak into the kitchen and snap a banana off from the rest without him hearing you and he'd be right there. :) He didn't like it if I stayed up late and he'd come in the office and scratch at me cuz he wanted to go to bed...but not alone. Now, I'm the one that feels alone :(  I miss you bubba <3

  2. What a beautiful boy, and a lovely story about your loss. I am so sorry -- I am sure you miss him greatly. I have two doggies, Sadie and Morgan. I picked Sadie from her litter of five; she was the only girl and she "spoke" to me from her crate right away. She's my little lap dog. Morgie, he was my little runt, a bait-and-switch of a bad deal on the Internet ... he flew in from what turned out to be a puppy mill, and I thought I was getting an entirely different dog. Morgie was SUCH a funny looking substitution, and CLEARLY he was too young to have left his Mama. Could I send him back? No way! He has bad knees, a hyperkinetic personality, has asthma and epilepsy -- we call him our "Special Needs Boy" -- but I love him to bits. Some days I want to throttle him when he jumps from the back of the couch onto my belly when I'm sleeping and he hears the UPS truck, but ... well ... he's sitting here licking my foot and I'm not kicking him away.

Poogie will be there to greet you in Heaven, and will share his toys with you when you get there. He loves you greatly.

    Fondly,

  3. I am so very sorry for your loss. I really enjoyed reading about your little boy - especially about going to bed and sucking his blankie.
You obviously have very fond memories of your cherished friend.
Maybe you can share some more stories from time to time, and that will help you in your loss.
I know how very difficult it is to say goodbye to a beloved pet.
I send you my very best wishes, and hope you heal quickly.
    Hugs Julie

  6. I'm s sorry to read this! Just mu first visit here on your blog and just today, earlier on, I've discovered that my dog has a cyst and we don't know yet what it's all about...but the doctor who saw the cyst said that we better do a biopsy to see what it is. The thing is that it's located on the muscle and this is the place where those bad cyst are located...I hope for the best for her.
I only can imagine what you must feel like, for us this is our first dog ever and we love her very much. She is kind, smart, not barking when not necessary...and you know what I mean, you know what a good dog means. .

    Hugs and good thoughts,
    Cristina

  7. Christina, it's hard when our fur babies are sick. Two weeks after Poogie died one of our Pugs that we just rescued 7 months ago died suddenly. Frankie had a heart attack and died... :( I do hope your doggy doesn't have anything too serious.
