This Is For You Charlotte!

First time I finally got my hands on cheese cloth! Thanks Moony! :) I'm looking forward to using it on a mixed media canvas :D That will be fun! I hope you like this card Charlotte! This is also the first time I got to use my new chicken wire embossing folder too! My friend, Charlotte, likes roosters and chickens. I didn't really have anything else along those lines beside my little chickie stamp. ^_^  I'll have to be on the hunt for more ;) Thank you for stopping!     'Smile' card. Blank inside and comes with an envelope.

Added Stickles and lace along with itty bitty pearls from Close To My Heart! Love the embossing!

'Just a note to say THANKS!'  Embossed, Tattered Flower die from Tim Holtz with a big ol' pearl! Topped off with a white feather :)

'Congratulations Graduate' card. Used a page from a song book. Stamped the jean pocket using a Close To My Heart stamp set. Popped it up with Pop Dots. Adorable! Flower brads. Stamped inside: 'You Did IT!' Tucked money in the pocket but you could use it as a gift card holder as well:)

Loving this pretty paper I used and I've been embossing paper a lot lately. Really love how it punches it up a notch! What do you think? Do you like these cards? :D

Some Cards I Made on the Scrapbook Retreat 2013

For this 'Thank You' card I tore up an old songbook with beautiful 'brotherly love' lyrics and then I decoupaged them on to the card base. The border is actually washi tape:) I should have taken the card out of its protective bag so you could see the fluffy black feather better. I added the pretty pink flower and heart gem and I sprinkled a few more tiny pearls. Voila!

The little crocheted flowers I thought were a sweet touch :)

I really like how these came out! The tiny door knob is a bronzed brad :)

I made 8 anniversary cards and 10 Open House cards. I used beautiful Prima Marketing Papers for my cards. I hope you like them. They actually were a lot of work...stamping out each piece. Red Wing, Minnesota

We stopped in Red Wing after leaving the scrapbook lodge in Maiden Rock because going through the town before we had seen this fountain and we just had to stop and check it out with all the beautiful hanging baskets of flowers and adorable little children statues!!! The fountain was awesome to see and it was a perfectly gorgeous day with the beautiful blue sky and fluffy white clouds!!! Looking forward to be back home with my hubby!!! :D

My Trip to Maiden Rock, Wisconsin

We stayed at The Lodge Retreat!!! It's like a big log cabin inside but really roomy. 7 bedrooms! We all got our own bed :) Yay!!!  This was my 3rd trip up there! And I was in so much pain the last two times but this time I felt great! There was I think 17 of us that went. We got our own big tables to spread out all our scrappy happy stuff! I took tons of my own 'healthy' food so I wouldn't be tempted to go off my diet and I lost 5 more pounds!!! Super thrilled about that! 

This is Paola! We talked non stop but healthy food!!! I loved it! A few of my closest friends on the trip are now inspired to start eating better :D!!! I'm so tickled about that!!! 

My last supper there Paola made me homemade sushi with brown rice!!! Delish!!! :D

My friend Aimee handed me a package backing and said that the grommet was so cool she hated to throw it away and was there anything I could do with this?! "Of course I can", I said :) I decoupaged it with an old dictionary and sprayed it with Tattered Angels spray mists. I added Tim Holtz tissue tape along the bottom and added rows of  lace. My dear sweet friend Liz Cobdono sent me the dress form. I was going to add black gems until I started digging in my treasure chest of bling and found these beautiful pearls with tiny peach roses that I actually bought with sweet Aimee in mind! I tied the laces at the top and was thrilled that Aimee loved it!!! :D Such a wonderful vacation!!!

Sharing Happy News!

Super excited! I'm going on the Scrapbook Retreat in Maiden Rock, WI with a bunch of good friends about 16 -20 of us!!! I couldn't afford to go a year ago when they were planning this trip since my husband lost his job when the 'Twinkie Co.' (aka. Hostess) went out of business. And sad to say my dear sweet friend Charlotte get sick at the last minute and can't go and this late stage with no refund she said I could go in her place! So I will think of a special Thank You to repay her, bless her heart! :D I've got lots of packing to do and many orders to fill while I'm gone scrappin' with my friends! I made this card recently with these pretty paper flowers, fuzzy flocked leaves and the suede brown ribbon! I hope you like it!
